The Document List screen lists all the documents (of the type you selected in the documents screen) you have access to. Click on the show filters link as indicated below to view the filter options.

You can Sort using the column filters.  Click on the drop down menu against the chosen category.

You may also filter documents based on when they were last updated. To do this you must select a particular time period (eg if you wanted to see all documents updated in the last five days, enter 5 in the white box next to the 'updated in the last:' text and from the adjacent drop down box select the days option). Press the 'filter last updated' button and the current document list will then change showing only those documents which have been amended in the last five days. The reset button will restore the page to default settings, where all documents will be displayed.

To proceed to the Document Menu screen click on the 'open' link to the left hand side of the document you wish to acess.  This status link to the right hand side of the chosen document will say 'read only' if the document is being edited by another user or if you have only been granted view access to the document.

To view the name of the Owner (i.e. the person able to manage access to the document) click on the 'Read only' status. A window will open giving the current Owner and the status of the document.

If you are an approver/submitter and un-allocated documents exist in your pool, the Unallocated Documents link at the top of the left of the screen will indicate the number. Click on this link, tick the relevant check-boxes and press Assign.

The Due Date field is relevant to those documents that have originated in the Research Councils' back office systems and have been populated into Je-S, where a due date is required for action.  For example: a proposal returned by the council for further amendment (for re-costing, for change or addition of attachments) and resubmission; a Final Report which requires returning by a specific date;  an Expenditure Statement; etc.

(Those documents created in Je-S (such as the original proposal application, will not have a Due Date displayed against them).  Applicants should be aware that there might still be 'deadlines' against these documents for original submission to Councils, these are governed by the specific Council's 'call closing dates' which can be seen in the Project Details section of the application.
