AHRC - Specific Requirements

Collaborative Doctoral Partnerships

Start Date
Start dates are limited to 1st October, please enter this date here. Any variance required to this date, for exceptional circumstances only, will need to be requested from AHRC once the award has been made and will be considered on a case by case basis.

Duration

The standard duration for one studentship is 36 months and this is the minimum that must be entered. If you are applying for an extended studentship this should be extended by 12 months for each additional student. If you are already aware that you will be recruiting a part time student the request to change the duration must be made after the award has started using the Grant Maintenance function in Je-S.

Your Reference
If you wish to give the application your own reference number please state it here.

Extended Programme
These can be offered for applications containing multiple studentships allowing the doctoral students to be recruited to the project in consecutive years without having to apply in a future round. Please indicate yes or no. You must also enter the number of studentships in the number of studentships requested section.

Project Title
Please specify a title for the project. The final thesis title may differ particularly where more than one studentship is attached to an overarching project. The AHRC is keen to ensure that selected students are involved in the final formulation of their particular thesis title.
