A ’routing’ discipline should now be chosen on all applications. The routing discipline is a tool that allows UKRI Grants to initially allocate applications to an EPSRC programme team to consider.

As is standard practise EPSRC will then read the application, and based on the research described, will determine which of its programmes teams will peer review and potentially fund the application.

Please choose the most appropriate discipline from the drop down list. If you feel that there is not a ‘routing’ discipline that describes your application please choose the closest or most relevant ‘routing’ discipline. If your application spans a number of ‘routing’ disciplines then please select the one that reflects the highest proportion of the proposed activity.
